RESCUE DIVER SPECIALITY COURSE This course trains divers the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited, in water problems and diving emergencies. Included are: Assist, transport, surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shore based skin and scuba divers. The course meets the prerequisite training for skin diving instructor, NAUI assistant instructor, dive master and instructor certificates. * Prerequisites for entering the course: Training and experience equivalent to NAUI Advanced Diver. If accredited First Aid and CPR certifications are not offered as part of the course, current certification in both is required for certification. Open water: At least one session is to be conducted in open water. An open water session involves one or more skin or scuba rescue exercises. The course excludes: Entrance fees at sites Qualifying dives at Sodwana, Ponta or any other open water site Diving gear ** Gear is available to hire. Please make sure to collect the gear from the shop. Cost: R 2 500.00
